Rare Series 0 in Matelasse: A series 0 is an extraordinary find. This series 0 was manufactured with Matelasse, which refers to a weaving technique that creates a quilted or padded look without actual filler. This is also the first series that was manufactured with a serial number inside the bag. Serial numbers that begin with 0 are known as being manufactured in the “golden age” of CHANEL 1986 to 1988. This era is known to be that of superior quality and artisanship. It is uncommon to find a series 0, and very uncommon to find a series 0 in this condition!
Details: Rare Series 0, 1986-1989. Matelasse technique with flat tight quilts. Plated in 24K Gold Hardware, which is no longer manufactured or available in-store. This classic flap includes rare full set.
Incredible vintage condition! There is slight wrinkle from open/close, inevitable shallow scratches, interior scratches and markings, some shallow interior pressmarks, interior pockets are unused but faded. See photos as part of this description.
